Currently, we have a Food Science Internship position open with FoodGroup at the Technical Center in Caldwell, Idaho. This position is afull-time, 3-month, cooperative internship beginning in May 2019 and concludingin August 2019.

What you will do:
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to provide support in project research Participate in datacollection and reporting.
Assist with prototypedevelopment and experiment execution
Perform routinelaboratory analyses Make observations andprovide feedback relative to experiments at all stages.
Candidate must bewilling to work at any level of project execution ranging from planning throughclean-up
Presentation ofresearch finding to Technical Center at end of internship
What you already have:
Candidate mustdemonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient use ofMicrosoft Office software with emphasis in strong EXCEL skills Ability to prioritizeand manage workload assigned by supervising food scientist Demonstrate problemsolving and decision making skills Ability and interestto work in laboratory and pilot plant environments Ability to workindependently and in a team environmentEducation:
Required: CompletedJunior year in Food Science or related field Preferred: Graduate orGraduate student with BS in Food Science or related field Overall GPA of 3.0 ona 4 point scale Required: Completionof coursework in general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, generalmicrobiology Preferred: Completionof coursework in food processing or bioprocessing, food analysis, foodchemistry and food
MayAugust 2019 DurationFull time40 hr/week, 12 week minimumHoursbetween 8am and 5pm.
