Intern: Marketing Communications (Summer 2019)
CHS has an exciting summer internship opportunity for a Marketing Communications Intern. You will participate and lead a variety of projects in the following categories: marketing communications, corporate and employee communications, publications, web sites, photography and promotion services. You must be detail-oriented, independent, and creative with excellent communications skills and the ability to handle multiple projects. You will:Write for online and print.Work on communication planning and campaigns, branding and other projects for internal clients and businesses.Participate and lead special projects. May include assistance in meeting preparation, survey work and analysis, development and execution of various communications campaigns. Work 40 hours a week.Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Basic Qualifications: (required)Working toward a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Agricultural Journalism/Communications or a related degreeThis internship is ideal for a student completing their junior year of college Preferred Qualifications: (desired)Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)Experience in creating presentationsProficient in photographyExperience working with student organizations, event planning and communicationsStrong writing skillsBackground or coursework in agriculture
