Job Title: Intern ? Flavor Creation (Cranbury, NJ) Position Summary:
Positions will have exposure to and responsibility for the day to day administration of specific departmental disciplines including routine responsibilities and working on routine projectsPosition works under direct or general supervision on routine departmental issues, plans and programs with detailed instructions, but with limited responsibility Job Responsibilities: Position may participate in one or more of the following duties or activities as directed by supervision or management Routine duties and responsibilitiesMaintains a clean and safe work areaMaintains company values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conductFollows basic GMP, ISO Procedures, GLP, Safety, Lab Notebooks and/or other electronic record keeping toolsExecutes batching, testing and simple adjustments or formula modifications of products/samplesProvides basic information for demo sheets/C of A?s and proof-reads finished demo sheets/C of A?s prior to shipping with samples/finished products for accuracyExecutes standard sampling (Screen & Select) of finished products and flavors, flavor systems or specialty ingredientsCoordination of sample shipments with shipping department in accordance to customer/salesperson guidelinesExecutes and maintains product retains for stability studies/troubleshooting on finished products, samples and/or flavors, flavor systems, specialty ingredients and retainsCompletes work on time and accuratelyKeeps laboratory stocked with raw materials, clean glassware, maintains equipment, etc.Utilizes and continues to acquire basic ingredient knowledgeUtilizes and continues to acquire basic product processing knowledgeAble to perform multiple tasks daily, with the flexibility of re-arranging daily workload to accommodate higher priority needsMay shop for market samples and ingredients utilized for projects on an as needed basisPerforms other related duties and assignments as required such as the maintenance of ISO Work InstructionsPhysical Demands: StandingWalkingSittingLifting Driving Employees in this position working at this location are [or may be] exposed to various potential chemical and food allergens due to the nature of our business and the requirements of the job.
