International Logistics Manager – #01SEE
The Monsanto Global Logistics team is seeking a motivated International Logistics Manager based in St. Louis (USA), reporting to the Global Logistics Operations Excellence Lead. This role will work closely with other functions of the Monsanto Supply Chain organization and with the regional logistics operations. The primary role will be to lead a variety of programs to develop processes and systems to support Monsanto???s international logistics activities. Additionally, the role will support ongoing initiatives and efforts to deliver the optimal customer experience.Key Responsibilities include:Ocean/Air ??? Global business process expert on international transportation logistics activities??? Work closely with regions, procurement, and trade compliance to ensure alignment on key processes and strategy??? Work with IT product management to develop and implement best in class systems and tools to support:o Procuremento Shipment planning and optimizationo B2B connectivityo Shipment visibilityo Freight payment??? Understand current market conditions including:o Supply/demand in key laneso Capacity o General market assessments??? Develop global metrics to measure internal and external (vendor) performance ??? Develop and promote relationships with key service providers that deliver value??? Drive standardization across regionsLogistics Roadmap??? Support Global Logistics initiatives??? Work with regions to drive regional roadmap & facilitate supportContinuous improvement??? Identify and introduce innovation and industry best practices??? Identify areas to impact customer experience??? Participate in cross functional teams (Global CC Metrics, Procurement, Commercial, Finance, etc)??? Consistently identify process optimization opportunities??? Provide data analysis in decision support??? Work with IT product management on futuristic systems and tools#LIPOSTQualifications:Core Business/Functional Skills and EducationEducation:4-year degree (preferably in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or business)Experience8-10 years of experience in supply chain with extensive experience in international logistics3-5 years in ocean and/or air logistics operations working for Logistics Service provider 3PL/4PL1-3 years in global trade managementStrong knowledge of logistics/supply chain operations in diverse operations or business spanning across multiple geographiesStrong understanding of supply chain network design, global trends in supply chain, and digital technologiesKnowledge of logistics KPI???s and metrics Professional Skill Requirement:Proven ability to influence at multiple levels in the organization and cross-functionallyProven ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environmentProven ability to work creatively and analytically when problem-solving Proven ability to work in a matrixed environmentExcellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills in a multicultural environmentStrong leadership and management skills Preferred QualificationsMBA PreferredExperience driving large scale improvement programs within a global supply chain/Logistics organizationWorking knowledge of common ERP and supply chain systems (SAP, JDA) Value proposition formulation and business case proposal developmentCustomer relationship management and deep skills in expectations managementAPICS/CSCMP CertificationApply for this job.
