International Sales Manager Ag 1 Source is looking for a International Sales Manager for a well recognized food company. Whats in it for you: ? Work with well recognized international company ? What you will be doing: ? Develop, segment and maintain new and existing international markets.
Define markets suitable for product lines. ? New product development to meet the specific needs of international customers. ? Development of creative ideas to capture sales and market share, while optimizing price and product mix. ? Project an appropriate image to international customers and dignitaries as an empirical representative.
Must understand and take into account varying international cultures when conducting business. ? Interface with industry organizations and, if required, meet with U.S. and foreign government agencies to influence favorable changes in trading policies. ? Plan and forecast quarterly and annual budgets. ? Oversee handling of customer questions regarding availability and pricing.
Coordination of order executions and customer services issues. ? Arrange plant tours and participate jointly with both plant management and customers. ? Develop a thorough understanding of international credit and logistics.
Advises on export requirements, documentation procedures and certifies commercial documents required by foreign countries. ? Participate in international and national trade show and regional food show activities.
Interacts with potential leads, responds to inquiries and provides timely and appropriate follow up with customers in applicable regions. ? Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. ? Performs all other duties as assigned.
A successful candidate for this International Sales Manager will possess the following: ? Bachelors degree in related discipline from four-year college or university preferred. ? 10+ years experience in meat related field preferred but not required. International experience a plus. ? A considerable degree of commercial awareness is important for effective negotiations and understanding of the factors involved in production, delivery, etc. ? Proven leadership skills, ability to lead a team effectively. ? Self-directed and ability to work independently. ? Accuracy, organization and attention to detail required. ? Ability to adapt to conflicting deadlines and priorities established by company demands. ? Excellent planning, organization, leadership, presentation, decision making and analytical skills. ? General computer knowledge and proficiency. Experience with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. ? Strong English and communication skills, including speaking and writing clearly and effectively. Ability to communicate and interpret effectively with varying international languages and translators. ? Communicates effectively with all levels of employees as necessary both verbally and in written form. ? Work to the highest professional standards and represent the company in an exemplary manner. Ability to maintain confidential information with professionalism and discretion. ? Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including weekends. ? Must have regular and punctual attendance.
