PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
?
Prepares various reports used by product divisions and General Accounting, including the preparation of the propane daily position report, monthly fuel inventory worksheets and related reconciliations.
?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
?
Prepares inventory worksheets and reconciliations to the general ledger.
?
Prepares reconciliations between GROWMARK inventory records and inventory records of suppliers and pipelines.?
?
Communicates with suppliers and pipelines to resolve differences.
?
Processes vendor invoices for purchases of LP and liquid fuels.
?
Processes electronic billing of lading data to prepare orders for billing.
?
Loads daily Energy position report in OMNIV2.
?
Reviews LP position report, reconciles any differences and resolves problems with propane supply.
?
Processes shipment information and customer invoices for biodiesel delivered from GROWMARK owned inventory locations.
?
Prepares various reports using Business Objects software and microcomputer software.
?
Performs general ledger and other control account analysis.
?
Communicates with personnel in Energy Division and Energy Accounting as needed to coordinates activities, report results of analysis and resolve problems.
?
Reconciles output from various Business Objects reports to identify system integrity problems within OMNI/SAP and between OMNI and the Lawson general ledger.
?
Reviews Fuel Purchase and Sales Reconciliation reports for assigned inventories and takes appropriate action to correct errors by working with personnel in Energy, Logistics, and Controller?s divisions.

Provides assistance in testing and implementation of inventory systems.
?
Provides assistance in testing and implementation of other accounting systems as needed.
?
Performs other administrative tasks related to billing on an as-needed basis.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
?
Prepares pipeline input to the purchases and sales reconciliation system.
?
Follows GROWMARK?s Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
?
Normally requires an associate?s degree in accounting or sufficient course work or equivalent and related experience to demonstrate the ability to perform complex accounting reconciliations and various analytical reports.
?
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
?
Understanding and experience with general ledger, account reconciliation, inventory and accounting systems? testing, controls, and implementation, technical support, and other control functions along with analysis and problem-solving skills.
?
Proven leadership skills and the ability to achieve results through others.

Proven professional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
?
Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, prioritize work, and deal with deadlines.

Proven computer skills in using Microsoft Office software, especially Excel and the ability to learn software tools for business and accounting processes including Lawson and the OMNI database and how processes relate to the database.

Ability to work hours above those considered ?normal? to meet accounting deadlines.

Must have and maintain a valid driver?s license and satisfactory driving record.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK?s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
