Come grow with us!?General Purpose and Scope of Position:The Inventory Control Accountant is a key contributor to the success of Wilbur-Ellis Nutrition by establishing and maintaining control and accuracy of the Company?s inventory. This position is responsible for reconciling and reporting on inventory activity related to the Company?s manufacturing operations and third-party warehouse locations. The Inventory Control Accountant will work closely with the manufacturing plants, third-party warehouse locations, operations, marketing, and the accounting team.?Key Skills and Abilities Include:Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and work cooperatively with employees and vendorsAbility to think critically and communicate complex thoughts and/or ideas in clear and concise mannerAbility to analyze and interpret dataJob duties require approximately 35% travel in both the US and Canada?Key Personal Attributes Include:Detail oriented, with excellent organizational skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesHigh level of intgrityBA/BA in accounting preferredExperience with JDE and/or Deacom a plusIntermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency. Basic Microsoft Outlook and Word proficiency?Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:Coordinate and execute location physical inventories with on-site location managersComplete the reconciliation process for the physical inventory and provide comprehensive reporting on inventory resultsIdentify and research unusual inventory balancesDocument irregularities by providing a detailed description of the issue with supporting examples and push for resolutionMonitor inventory aging and recommend corrective actionIn coordination with the cost accountant research inventory variancesMonitor Company shrink adjustments and ratesReview, maintain, upgrade and communicate inventory processes and proceduresAssist with month-end close as requiredAssist with year-end financial audit and other auditsAct as the accounting back-up for a wholly-owned subsidiary operating on a stand-alone business system (non-JDE)Other tasks as assigned by the Controller??Job code:?STAFF03441Apply for this job.
