Inventory Control Team Lead – #01S7P
We are seeking a motivated Inventory Control Team Lead. This position will be located in St. Louis, MO, reporting to our Logistics Business Support Lead. This position will be will provide oversight and management of Bayer seed and crop protection inventory at our 3rd Party Logistics partner managed warehouses and terminals. Supervising a team of three Bayer employees, the team is responsible for monthly inventory reconciliation and accuracy, daily and weekly inventory adjustments, as well as SAP and WITS systems support to inventory management users. The role is responsible for the weekly and monthly production of inventory metrics as well as customer and stock transfer delivery inventory adjustment cases within Salesforce. This is an exciting and challenging role that allows you to apply analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance logistics processes. In this role, you will assure inventory controls are in place that meet or exceed SOX regulatory requirements and provide proper stewardship of Bayer???s inventory. This includes monitoring of inventory, collecting inventory reports, resolving inventory issues and reporting on inventory accuracy as well as coaching others on the proper management of inventory. The Lead is accountable for highlighting potential issues and opportunities as well as recommending and leading resolutions; supporting day to day activities, projects and new businesses opportunities related to logistics.Key Responsibilities: ??? Develop processes and procedures to assure compliance and to maintain good control of Monsanto???s inventory in all US 3rd party warehouses including:o Channel Seedsman Warehouseso Seed Distribution Warehouseso Packaged Chemical Warehouseso Bulk Chemical Warehouses and Terminalso Seed Applied Solutions Warehouseso Bulk metered truck inventory??? Accountable for monthly inventory reporting across all sites including inventory accuracy metrics and a summary of any inventory adjustments offs. Monitors performance by location and business.??? Lead projects and process improvement initiatives that impact inventory management??? Ensure adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy??? Conduct inventory analysis to solve inventory problems??? Develop and implement inventory control procedures??? Coordinate inventory issue resolution across departments??? Resolve any inventory issues and advises management when appropriate??? Conduct, organize and work cross-functionally to complete annual audits of 3rd party sites??? Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures for the inventory processes??? Develop and lead a team of Inventory SpecialistsQualifications:Required Skills:??? Minimum of 5-10 years in supply chain, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, planning, or seed business experience??? Bachelors Degree required (Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Agricultural Science related). Masters Degree Preferred??? Demonstrated leadership capabilities, ability to influence, coach, manage conflict, and build cross-functional relationships??? Demonstrated knowledge of SAP (or equivalent ERP) inventory management tools??? Broad range of computer skills??? such as databases, spreadsheets, statistics applications, Outlook, etc. Ability to learn other applications quickly.??? Understanding advanced Inventory Management and supply chain concepts??? Strong quantitative, analytical and decision making skills??? Strong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Skills:??? The ideal candidate will have prior inventory management experience and be able to develop relationships and open lines of communication within all required internal and external networks.??? Proficiency with Spotfire or other reporting applications??? Understanding of compliance regulations that impact revenue recognition and inventory control including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance??? Knowledge of the seed and chemical cycle from production through distributor / dealer network???
