Idaho SUMMARYThe Inventory Optimization Analyst is an individual contributor who will drive inventory and sourcing data and recommend policies to manage the flow of finished goods across the supply chain in a way that maximizes on time delivery while minimizing inventory and distribution costs. He/she will use supply chain planning and modeling tools to create inventory and distribution plans to support Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP), providing critical data for planning financial, storage and transportation needs. He/she will use strong analytics to create and implement strategies for continuous improvement, and support future projects for implementing wide-scale process change. RESPONSIBILITIES* Perform detail data and metric analysis for inventory optimization. * Cleanse and maintain inventory and related master data. * Create inventory and distribution plans and act as key participant in S&OP meetings. * Lead and/or contribute to process improvement projects. * Contribute to design and development of network optimization modeling. * Assist the transition from inventory planning to execution.
REQUIREMENTS* Bachelor's Degree from 4 year college or university required. * Eight to ten years related experience and/or training. * Aptitude for understanding supply chain fundamentals including demand, manufacturing, production, inventory and distribution planning. * Experience with integrated Supply Chain Planning and modeling systems strongly preferred (SAP APO/IBP and Llamasoft experience beneficial). * Must have the ability to learn and navigate a variety of software applications quickly. * Highly analytical individual with demonstrated experience in the navigation of significant amounts of data through tools similar to MS Access, MS SQL, etc. * Critical thinker with the ability to use rigorous logic to solve difficult problems and can digest and interpret data into meaningful information easily interpreted by leadership. * Passion to ensure integrity and accuracy of supply chain planning data. * Ability to effectively cope with change and shift comfortably while dealing with various levels of ambiguity. * Works well in a team setting and can communicate effectively in cross-functional groups, both up and down the hierarchy. * Adheres to all standards, policies and systems as appropriate.
