In the P&E Internet of Things (IoT) group at Monsanto, Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication and the IoT are transforming the way research is performed. Advancements in device connectivity and hardware capabilities are enabling a new generation of distributed intelligent systems. We are looking for an IoT Platform Engineer to join our team and take part in building our rapidly growing platform.As an IoT Platform Engineer at Monsanto, you will be responsible for:- Building a new generation of connected systems, devices and information- Partnering with hardware and software engineers to build real-time distributed scalable systems. – Ensuring our systems meet the performance needs of a fast-paced research organization while protecting Monsanto's IP and FTO by utilizing industry proven and standard security patterns as well as driving the creation of new standards and patterns where they do not yet exist. – Working on a team to drive technology decisions (tools, protocols, languages, devices) for platforms that do not have a parallel in industry. The platforms you build will be used to accelerate and streamline the Monsanto pipeline for researchers and customers across the globe. Qualifications:Required: – High school diploma required; BA in Computer Science or related field preferred. – 5 years of IT industry experience required incluing experience as a full-stack developer- 2+ years of cloud experience ??? AWS EC2, IAM, CloudFormation, SQS, SNS, RDS or equivalent technologies- Experience working in a continuous delivery environment- Experience with test driven development- Experience creating RESTful microservices- Functional and object-oriented programming experience- Experience with relational and non-relational data stores- Customer engagement including ideation, design thinking, and seeking rapid feedback- Take pride in software craftsmanship, diving deep into code and constantly innovatingApply for this job.
