IT Business Analyst
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology Group. We are looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our growing Energy organization. This role will primarily focus on the Lubricants and Propane Business Units. This role is part of a team of IT Business Analysts that works closely with our business stakeholders and Information Technology. To advance our business unit strategy this role will define, analyze, document and translate business requirements into technical solutions. You must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to solve complex problems, and have analytic skills with attention to detail. You will:Assist in the analyzing of business strategy and user needs, document specifications, and translate business objectives into proper system requirement specifications.Support and test moderately complex information systems and develop adequate error management functionality within assigned applications.Work closely with managed services teams for end-to-end applications support, enhancements and projects.Assist with Quality Assurance and acceptance testing of assigned projects.Provide test plans, test cases, perform functional testing and ensure proper user acceptance and regression testing.Take ownership of support activities for assigned applications and ensure secondary resources are defined and are well trained to support the application.Track problems, enhancement requests, and suggestions, for assigned applications.Provide application support after normal business hours as needed.Proactively maintain an understanding of the business processes.Ensure adherence to CHS IT Methodology, governance, compliance, global model and best practices Engage with business customers and IT personnel to identify, coordinate and resolve support needs for systems (ERP, EDI, Integration, BI, SQL, Job Scheduling, Data Management, etc.)Identify, assess priority and adhere to service level agreementsDocument incidents, business process flows, procedures, specifications, and business requirementsResearch and evaluate potential solutions, providing alternatives and recommended resolutionIdentify and assess process improvement opportunitiesCollaborate with other business analysts, technical staff, and managementMaintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Basic Qualifications: (requirement)2 or more years of business systems analysis experiencePreferred Qualifications: (desired)Bachelor?s degree in Management Information Systems, Business, or related fieldProcess mapping and systemic thinking experienceAttention to detail, organization, curiosity, time management and strong analytical skillsGeneral knowledge of system development methodologiesProject management experienceExperience with .Net applications, Oracle JDE, SAP softwarePractical experience with MS Office productsApply for this job.
