The BRM will ensure that IT projects align with technology that best provides return on investment aligning to both IT and business strategies.TheIdeal CandidateOutside of the skills and necessary qualifications, our ideal candidate must be committed to achieving superior results with integrity and sustaining our safe and positive work environment while having the ability to embrace working side by side others in a diverse culture.The BRM is a critical role in developing and maintaining a strategic partnership between the Business Operations and Information Technology teams. Acting as a trusted advisor, the BRM will serve as a single point of contact, internal consultant and strategic business partner for all Business stakeholders. The BRM will develop a strong understanding of the business, strategic objectives, challenges and opportunities. A critical success factor for this role will be to establish trusted business relationships across all business units, ensuring there is alignment between the strategies, goals and direction of the business and of IT while maintaining high levels of satisfaction in IT systems and services.Skills:- Act as a liaison between IT and business partners and provide strategic and consultative support- Ensure IT is seen as an effective partner and enabler by identifying factors critical to business success and operational effectiveness.- Establish and promote the overall IT vision and how IT will support the Business operations- Ensure IT projects are aligned with Business objectives, including defining, prioritizing and monitoring delivery of IT services- Participate in strategic meetings that impact IT and the Business operations- Partner with the Business and IT Leadership teams to create and manage the strategy & portfolio.- Assist in the development of end-user satisfaction measurement frameworks, communicating results and creating service improvement plans- Maintain an understanding of IT operational performance and progress of ongoing development- Develop a thorough understanding and knowledge of Business processes, systems and solutions.- Understand the direction for IT enterprise architecture and how it aligns to business trends in supporting current and future Business needs- Ensure projects align with technology that provide return on investment and align with IT and business strategies, goals and objectives- Partner with Business Analysts and the Global COE (Centre of Excellence) – Business Analysis. Provide guidance to the Business Analysts in Australia while supporting the Manager, IT COE-Business Analysis with support, training and deliverables for the Business Analysts in AustraliaQualifications- Bachelors degree in Agronomy, Plant/Crop Science, Business, IT or related discipline- 10
15 years of functional business unit work experience and understanding in the areas of Business/Distribution, Supply Chain, Procurement or back office business services including a minimum of 5 years of experience of business relationship management experience- Ability to proactively collaborate across Business and IT departments to achieve cross functional success- Ability to balance the big picture with meeting the day-to-day needs of the organization- Excellent analytic, interpersonal and communication skills to influence and engage colleagues, along with a broad understanding of the businesses they support- Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM) and Agricultural industry experience would be considered a strong asset- ITIL certified or experience with utilizing ITIL within organizations would be considered an asset- Prior experience in a shared services model is preferredWhy Agrium?Winning together; Our Cultivating Excellence culture coupled with great people and delivering superior results with integrity is what sets Agrium apart from other career opportunities.
