Position Overview:The position of IT Project Administrator is multi-faceted. The primary area of focus is in facilitating IT projects to be completed on time and on budget, while ensuring that each project meets the stated business goals. Secondarily, the Project Administrator will assist in performing business analyst functions on smaller IT initiatives/projects. The Project Administrator will work closely with other IT resources to verify and prove out solution designs. This individual relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while working within the context of the culture, mission, and values of the company. ?This individual works proactively, cooperatively and insightfully with other departments to deliver value to the business. The position will require a high level of ownership throughout the duration of a project which includes from the initial concept development through the go-live process and a transition to support.Major Areas of Responsibility:Serves as a liaison between the IT department and the business units/departments.Works with the business units to build and establish measurable goals and objectives for each project that can be used to keep the project focused, in alignment with company strategic initiatives, and provide a mechanism for measuring success.Ensures each project has a business justification (some form of ROI) that has been approved by appropriate business users (“owners”) and leadership prior to beginning the full project effort.Develops project plans with assistance from business users and senior IT resources as directed by the IT Director.Manages projects to defined project plan and associated timeline.As part of each project creates standard project documentation including a project plan, meeting agendas, testing plans and other documentation as appropriate to the type of project being performed.Leads, plans, facilitates and conducts meetings related to assigned projects.Documents actions and decisions both within project meetings and throughout the life cycle of the project.Confer with project personnel to identify and communicate project risks and recommend solutions. Fully able to run projects with minimal management involvement.Manages the completion of defined tasks within each project and as necessary escalates issues to appropriate resources.Document process flows for existing business processes. ?Document gaps and communicate potential process improvements.Write use cases and define process flows for new system development. ?Assist with defining test cases and testing as needed.Work closely with the technical staff, business personnel and stakeholders to ensure that created application functionality meets requirements.Develops and demonstrates a high level of subject matter expertise in functional areas to bridge business requirements and IT solutions.Apply for this job.
