IT Systems Technician

To sustain this growth, Legend Seeds has committed to securing an IT Systems Technician as an integral role in maintenance and support of the Legends Seeds IT infrastructure and resources to continue to provide a safe and secure platform for Legend employees and our partners for SUCCESS! The Legend Seeds IT Systems Technician will have three main areas of focus. The first area of focus is the monitoring and maintenance of Legends Seeds private and public cloud infrastructure. This includes all local and hosted servers, identity and access management, and monitoring of cloud resources. The second area is providing day to day troubleshooting, monitoring, and support for Legend assets (servers, laptops, printers, etc.). The third area is maintaining Legend’s Farmacology tools. This includes working with Ag related ITC’s (information technology and communication) tools and applications, and other Legend departments to ensure data that flows between the systems is as accurate as possible. What will your day be like?At Legend Seeds, you will be working closely with your Legend IT team, and focusing on: Legend Cloud:Ensure the delivery of computing and information services are functioning to their full potential.Develop metrics to analyze cloud usage and security.Work with Legend team to develop and facilitate connections and common identity usage between Legend applications.Research tools, products, and practices available to improve or replace the current programs used by Legend.Work with short-term and long-term business plans for future cloud and on-premise evolution.Implement solutions to mitigate security risks.Create training outline to ensure success among staff in Legend’s business environment.Create, maintain and execute Legend Seeds Business continuity/disaster recovery procedures.Create, maintain and execute Legend’s online information security policy. Legend Support:Provide technical support to Legend staff and others as necessary.Provide technical training to Legend staff as necessary.Keep all servers and workstations up-to-date.Maintain and inventory Legend’s IT assets.Ensure that Legend assets are well cared for and properly maintained.Ensure team performs job related tasks in a safe manner.Research tools, products, and practices available to improve or replace the current programs Legend uses. Farmacology Tools:Support and monitor ITC tools to ensure consistent data and accurate information across platforms. BEST CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:Associate DegreeMinimum of 2 years of Windows Server (2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016) experience.Minimum of 3 years of Windows 10 support experience in an enterprise environment.Minimum of 2 years network and firewall experience.Ability to adapt to changes in a fast pace environment.Excellent teamwork and customer service skills with an ability to influence and build work relationships among a diverse workforce.Excellent skills in decision making, problem analysis, and problem solving and the ability to assume responsibility and meet deadlines.Ability to be creative and make good judgements.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present information company-wide.Highly organized and detailed-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.Ability to handle confidential documents and information with discretion. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment located at Legend Seeds Corporate office in De Smet, SD. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some standing and lifting is required. This would require bending and ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds as necessary. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, typical hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional earlier start times, evening and/or weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel 25% travel is expected for this position.
