Scoular?s Overland Park location has an exciting opportunity for an IT Technician who enjoys resolving complex problems and working in a fast paced environment! The Tech?s main responsibility will be supporting internal customers and communicating effectively and courteously with management and support teams. We are searching for someone who has the ability to filter through new problems, help calls, and project work while prioritizing which issues need to be resolved immediately.? This person will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger IT team.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Ensure proper technical operations for end users to accomplish business tasks including:
Receiving, prioritizing, diagnosing, processing, documenting and troubleshooting computer systems, telephony systems, and operations.? Assist users with information technology related questions in person, electronically, and by telephone.
Create, setup and maintain computer equipment
Provide 1st and 2nd level support for telephony, cell phones, PC?s, LAN/WAN, video conferencing, conference room setup and ERP systems including local and remote users.Respond to community requests via telephone, email, via remote access, and in-person
Analyze, schedule, and perform upgrades and enhancements to servers and computer equipment
Record, track, document and test the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and non-successful decisions made or actions taken through to final resolution
Follow up on outstanding Helpdesk tickets. Diagnose and resolve advanced information technology hardware and software issues. Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases on the internet to aid in problem resolution
Perform hands-on problem resolution at the desktop/network level, including installing/upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups and configuring systems and applications
Support Network communication equipment and infrastructure
Receive Helpdesk calls and assign them to the appropriate resources or solve the problem in a timely manner
Provide support to facility locations using the CompuWeigh or Vertical scale systems
Document asset change information as required.
Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.
Perform miscellaneous IT operational tasks and assist with projects
2 years post-secondary required or equivalent experience or training
Two to four years progressive work experience
Excellent PC skills.? Knowledge of MS Office 365 and Active Directory
High Level of customer service orientation
Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely
Must be able to work independently or in a team environment
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
Ability to research and solve problems
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to work on short notice when necessary (on call duties are a part of this position)
Ability to work with, communicate effectively with, and influence all levels of the organization
Ability to travel as needed Preferred Qualifications:
AS400 experience is a plus
Comptia A+ and Network+ Certifications
