We currently have a Jet Captain position available at our Aviation facility in Boise, ID.
Boise's mild climate, affordable housing, and vibrant downtown add up to a great place to live. SUMMARY Serves as Captain (Pilot-in-Command) of company owned aircraft. Ensuring maximum safety, efficiency, dependability and passenger comfort. RESPONSIBILITIESConducts flights in assigned company aircraft as Pilot-in-Command. Assumes responsibility for judgment decisions concerning passenger safety, airworthiness of aircraft before and during the flight and meeting flight schedules to the extent allowed by safety and other operational issues.Evaluates weather conditions affecting safety, efficiency and comfort of flight. Assesses fuel and performance criteria affecting flight. Supervises company or contract Second-in-Command pilots to maximize use of cockpit resources in both normal and abnormal flight conditions.Successful completion of type rating and recurrent training in assigned jet aircraft.Performs various tasks assigned by the Director of AviationMaintains a high level of interpersonal skills, working in harmony with all levels of company personnel, department co-workers and aircraft maintenance personnel. Will frequently be the first person a company guest or client encounters.Complies with flight rules and regulations both foreign and domestic.Have a thorough knowledge of assigned aircraft including; limitation, systems, performance, normal and emergency procedures.REQUIREMENTSFive or more years of related experience to include five years experience as a pilot in corporate aviation or similar operations entailing the transportation of passengers to include jet airplanes in high density terminal areas and from uncontrolled general aviation airports with limited runways and services. A minimum of 3,500 total flight hours in airplanes, 1,000 hours as Pilot-In-Command in multi-engine airplanes and 500 flight hours Pilot-In-Command Jet. Possess a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate. A professional knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, the Airman's Information Manual and other publications relevant to the conduct of flight operations within North America.Experience as a Certified Flight Instructor. No history of accidents or violations resulting in a FAA certificate action. Combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position.
