Key Account Manager – Dairy Feed Additives

They are urgently seeking a Key Account Manager to help them strategically expand their presence in the Upper Midwest dairy market. They provide innovative and researched feed additives to feed companies, nutritionist, distributors and large dairy producers.This individual should understand animal nutrition and be willing to go above and beyond for customers to service their needs. They have a solid book of business and brand recognition in the area, so they need someone who can who can not only maintain business but help them grow the territory. Attending trade shows and promoting company products will also be a major part of this role.About the Opportunity:Provide sales and technical support of dairy cattle feed additive products to feed companies and independent nutritionists within assigned territory (MN/WI/IA/IL)Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot technical feed ingredient questionsAbility to cold-call and sell to established and prospective customersMaintain knowledge of industry by attending conferences and work shopsPut on meetings and training seminars for current and prospective customersQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business, Animal Science or equivalent experience5+ years related dairy sales experience, preferably in nutrition, feed or value added productsDevelop individual strategies for each major accountDevelop sales plan, time and territory management and effective communicationsExtremely assertive, motivated and results-orientedAbility to work both independently and within a team environment They are going to be extremely selective in the hiring process as this is a very unique opportunity to get on board with an industry leader.Very competitive salary plus, attractive bonus structure and benefits.
