The key Account Specialist is responsible for all aspects of customer financial relationship with assigned portfolio of key customer accounts. Position incumbent builds, nurtures and maintains internal and external relationships which strengthen our partnerships with key customers. Responsibilities include: • Direct responsibility for collection of all AR amounts due from assigned portfolio of key customer accounts. This includes open invoices and unauthorized deductions. Responds to key customer inquires and resolves billing errors. Utilizes customer portals as appropriate to secure timely, accurate payment. • Incumbent assembles and leads cross-functional internal teams to ensure we are compliant with key account billing requirements. • Reconcile unapplied payments for key accounts within assigned portfolio. • Attend supplier conferences hosted by key customers and conduct on-site customer visits as appropriate. • Special Projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED. • Minimum 2 years of experience in Credit and Collections. • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint . • Ability to communicate both written and verbal to diverse audiences across the organization. • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. • Critical thinking skills and ability to problem solve with a bias for action. • Ability to work in team environment. • Ability to travel up to 5%. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in Finance or Business preferred. • SAP experience preferred. Morton Salt is an equal opportunity employer.
