Lab Technician – Cellulosic Ethanol We are looking for talented individuals to join our Nevada, Iowa manufacturing team in the position of Lab Technician. In the Lab Technician role, you will have the opportunity to work within a highly driven team where you can apply your microbiology and analytical skills in our QA/QC Lab. This team provides ongoing support to our large scale fermentation process. Responsibilities include:Prepare reagents and supplies for testsAssist with special projectsReporting of test resultsAnalytical testing for processContamination control – pursue possible sourcesMaintenance of lab equipment/troubleshooting basic lab equipmentData entry of test resultsSupport internal customersOperation of lab equipment including HPLC, GC and NIRParticipate in lab problem solving and troubleshootingPractice lab hygiene and follow safety proceduresActive participant in training processPerform basic aseptic techniquesImplement and adhere to ISO standardsQualifications:You are an effective, results-driven, self-directed and motivated team player who communicates in an open, honest manner. You are able to work 12-hour rotating shifts. You must be flexible to participate in training and potential shift changes and overtime. In addition, qualified candidates should possess the following: B.S. in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a related field highly regardedMinimum of 1-3 years experience in an industrial lab environmentGood record-keeping skills and exceptional attention to detail Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsSelf-starter with systematic decision making, problem solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong team player with an ability to work closely with all functional teams within the plantDemonstrated leadership skills highly regardedMust be able to pass a Respirator Fit testMust be willing to be an Emergency Response team memberPrior experience with dry-grind ethanol or Ag Bio is highly regarded Our benefit package becomes effective on the first day of employment.
