SUMMARYThis position is responsible for ensuring product quality is monitored andtested in compliance with established procedures, specifications andinstructions. This position reports to Quality Assurance Supervisor and Team Leader.This position will work in several areas of the plant including line check,retail, weight check, main line, pre-form, and line two. The individual in thisposition is responsible for, but not limited to taking samples and performingtests as prescribed by procedure or specifications, reporting to appropriatepersonnel on status of line operation, recording information in logs and oncomputer, performing requested test and samples, and keeping work areas andequipment clean. This position must be able to work without close supervision,and is expected to report any substandard sanitation conditions.Overtime requirements in this position are common, and may be required to meetoperational goals. RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures examinations of product for quality are conducted incompliance with established procedures, specifications and lab equipment.
Ensure that appropriate supervisor or line personnel receivetimely and accurate notification of line status.
Ensures the recording of information and test results areaccurate and decipherable and in the appropriate location in a timely manner.
Ensures accurate and consistent decisions are made regardingquality characteristics of products, materials, and equipment.
Ensures work area and equipment are cleaned regularly withproper chemical handling and/or procedures.
Ensures no injuries to self or others by following safe workpractices and policies.
Responsible to attend and participate in training activitiesappropriate to the position and to incorporate acquired skills and knowledge.
Ensures the interface with peers and other support groups isconducted in a participative management style conducive with operational goals.
Conducts oneself in a professional manner and ensurespersonal appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job functionwhile representing the Company.
Ensures that additional accountabilities as may be requiredby management be handled in a manner necessary to meet operational and Divisionalstandards. Communicate in writing (to enter information into logs,forms, and computer).
Communicate orally (communicate with peers, supervisors).
Calculate basis math (i.e. averages, percentages,measurements, and ratios).
Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in a mannerto successfully perform the job duties. Able to maneuver in close quarters andclimb stairs, ladders and catwalks regularly.
Work in extreme environments, both wet and cold/hot. Safelylift a maximum of 39 pounds. Safely work with chemicals/solutions (required fortesting or cleaning).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position.HourlyPay:
