Labor Relations Manager/Consultant
DuPont currently has an opening for a Labor Relations Manager to join the US Human Resources team. This is an exciting, fast-paced position that is responsible for providing leadership in the labor relations area to business leaders, HR Consultants and other key stakeholders. The position is responsible for working with the business to establish a labor strategy, interpret contracts and resolve labor related matters across a portfolio of sites. The position will require a person of vision, integrity and commitment as well as maturity and judgment. The position requires a person who can translate the business strategy into clear people objectives, policies and/or practices to promote the growth and development needed for maximum utilization of human resources, so that the business and employee needs are reconciled. Key focus areas include: Bargaining ConsultationM&A work related to effects bargainingUnion Avoidance and CBA trainingBargaining Guidelines for Corporate Notifications/ChangesSupport for Information Requests, ULPS, Grievances and ArbitrationsResponse to Organizing CampaignsCoaching and Development of Site BargainersStrike Contingency planning supportCorporate Initiatives – Planning and Execution of any Labor Requirements Responsibilities: Provide strategic and operational guidance on labor matters, industrial/labor/employee relationsAnalyze, coordinate and apply industrial labor relations programs, policies and proceduresDetermine and analyze industrial/labor relations needs of organizationsWork with business leaders to establish short and long-term industrial/labor relations strategiesFormulate and manage plans, procedures and programs to meet specific industrial/labor relations objectives and resolve problemsDeliver industrial/labor relations strategy training to the organizationPartner with HR leaders and legal resources to meet objectives while managing industrial/labor relations issues. Provide full and proactive support to assigned sitesConsult with HR and Legal on strategic and tactical labor relations issuesActively coach and counsel HR Leaders and Manufacturing Leaders to resolve labor relations/employee relations issues Coach managers on change-management practices and resource application of those changesAnalyze site HR/ER structures, systems, and processesImprove functioning capability of HR professionals and line management in the field of industrial relationsProvide employee relations/labor relations trainingProvide bargaining planning, strategy, and supportProvide union campaign planning, strategy, and supportCollaboratively develop employee relations/labor relations plansConduct site employee relations/labor relations assessments Qualifications: Requirements: BA/BS Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, a Masters is preferred; other BA/BS degrees considered. 8-10 years of experience leading a labor relations strategy for a large plant site and/or across several sites Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR working as an HR consultant capacity Strong leadership capabilities Ability to influence business leaders and key stakeholders Ability to build strong relationships Strong Project Management skills and the ability to manage/balance a large workloadStrong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) #LI-TG1Apply for this job.
