Lead Trainer 6
SUMMARY: Under general supervision, monitors and guides trainer and trainee performance. Team Members in this job will support trainers and train TEAM members to learn the safest practices, best production techniques, and to understand quality control, while interacting with management on a regular basis.This job requires knowledge of the process workflow and production in the Pine Bluff Jefferson Parkway environment. Responsibilities: Trains and develops workforce. Coordinates training, trains, and monitors trainees to assure quality of work and progression towards qualification.Ensures adherence to procedures, regulations and guidelines while minimizing errors and safety risks. Must have a good understanding of ergonomics.Tracks tardiness, absenteeism, and availability of trainees. Observes behavior of trainees while performing job and responds to potential problems towards the qualification process, and to ensure the safety of individuals. Creates a variety of documents including One Point Lessons, Standard Operating Procedures, and various training materials.Must be able to work and accomplish job tasks without constant supervision along with the ability to improve team member morale. Training Lead and Trainers must present themselves in a professional manner.Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.Trainer will have 8-13 trainees qualifying at one time; depending upon the complexity of the process and current turnover rate. Education: High School Diploma or G.E.DExperience: At least one year seniority of related work experience in production; Strong knowledge of production departmental operations, product understanding, organization policies, applicable laws, procedures, and processes; Knowledge of specialized departmental equipment operation including forklifts, pallet jacks, push carts, scales, and production packaging equipment; Ability to effectively train and direct the workforce to meet production goals and departmental goals/objectives in a high volume department; Mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities; Demonstrated organizational and problem solving skills.Physical REQUIREMENTS: Employees may be required to stand, and/or walk, bend and/or stoop, for long periods. Lift boxes or equipment up to 25 pounds. Sit at a computer and type for periods of time.Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be able to present information and respond to questions from management and others; Ability to build effective working relationships with management and trainees; Positive ?Yes We Can? attitude; Easy going, humble and very good listener; Must generate trust with everyoneComputer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Excel; or the ability to learn the software.
