Holds self, team, and individuals accountable for meeting department objectives (cost control, production requirements, safety initiatives, GMPs, environmental initiatives, etc.).? Ensures the appropriate resources are available to run day-to-day operations, as well as perform work during scheduled downtime, which includes maintaining and updating the standing overtime and vacation scheduling lists.Provides a Safe Work Environment ? Is accountable for the safe work performance of the shift operations.? Leads by example through actions and words.? Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed.Operates in Compliance with Regulations – Follows and enforces documentation practices involved with safety, environmental, and quality. These include such things as proper execution of safety permits, proper reporting and handling of environmental incidents (spills, air excursions, etc.), and proper documentation in manufacturing batch records and operations logs/checklists. Responsible for timely documentation of incidents and deviations, which includes initiating reports, conducting investigations, identifying root causes, and completing corrective actions.? Is authorized to suspend production activities to determine appropriate actions to ensure sterility.Establishes a Productive Work Environment – Actively encourages team building among and across shifts. Supports and promotes company policies. Willing and able to address personnel issues in a positive, professional, and consistent manner. Creates and maintains an atmosphere where viewpoints can be shared in a non-threatening manner.? Initiates, leads, and completes improvement activities. Supports management decisions with actions and words. Ensure thatturnover activities are complete and accurate for successful continuation of production activities.? Will assign tasks to Light Industrial Technicians (LITs) that may need to be done within the operation.? Will assist in prioritizing if any issues should arrive.? Facilitates team meetings and other related activities.Manage People – Ensures performance management objectives are developed for each of their direct reports. Provides support through encouragement, coaching, feedback, reinforcement, and recognition. Responsible for conducting year end performance reviews for their direct reports, which includes determining bonus and merit pay for individuals.? Recognizes and pursues development opportunities for people within his/her span of influence.Basic Qualifications ?? ?High school diploma/GEDMinimum of 3 years experience manufacturing.Completion of Post Offer Exam, Completion of Work Simulation or Completion of Administrative Skills Testing if applicable.Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
