Therefore, Legend Seeds has committed to secure an experienced Legend Sales Agronomist to focus on providing support and knowledge on Legend Seeds products to dealer and staff that we need for SUCCESS! The Legend Sales Agronomist is responsible for the marketing, selling, and development of brand awareness of Legend products and programs in the assigned trade area. It’s the chance to work among friends every day and to see the results of your hard work firsthand.  We work in a lively, intuitive, and family-orientated environment that offers: Competitive Pay ~ Health Insurance ~  Long-Term Disability ~ Life InsurancePaid Time Off  ~ RetirementWill you fit in here?If you personally identify with our five core values, then we believe you will be an excellent fit for the culture at Legend Seeds: Respectful?All staff, dealers, and growers are treated with respect?Open to understanding another person's point of view? Team Approach?Our individual backgrounds are combined to bring strength, dedication, and knowledge to help our dealers and growers achieve success?We are structured for local support for the dealer's and grower's success? Integrity?Consistent and fair, always doing what is right in our actions?Remain honest and true to our word? Growth-Focused?Positioned for growth of our marketing share?Continued development of individuals and teams, growing together? Innovative?Industry leaders with the latest thoughts and technologies?Solutions-based approach to overcome challenges large and small? Responsibilities:Work to cover a pre-determined geographical area and may work with multiple Legend Account Managers (LAM) to maximize Legends sales.Work with Director of Product Development and Sales Lead to develop and implement programs to address identified needs.Develop the product knowledge of current LAMs and Dealers through presentation, demonstration, and in-field training.Develop the agronomic knowledge and technical accuracy of current LAMs and Dealers.Responsible for Product Evaluation through design and implementation of an effective testing protocol to include regional and district testing locations.Develop and successfully implement an annual New Product Advancement System.Develop and use an effective communication system/method within LAMs and Dealer networks that represent the LAMs as the service lead.Assist in assuring Dealer satisfaction and company relationships in all aspects.Build and implement an effective Customer On-Farm call and promotion system. ­­Support all Legend personnel and policies to dealers and customers.Develop brand promotion of products through testing, signage, harvest, field days, etc.Assist in developing an annual Crop Plan with LAMs and the Selection Committee.Support LAMs in dealer meetings and training sessions.Assist in the implementation of all Legend Seeds sales and marketing programs.Contribute timely agronomic and production information to dealers and customers to enhance Legends value.Work independently to administer and provide maintenance of LSA plots and Knowledge Plots as assigned locations.Participate and contribute to Legend Seeds related activities, events, and meetings.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the workflow of Legend Seeds.Other responsibilities as assigned to the position as Legend Seeds grows or as deemed necessary. Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Weed Science, Entomology, Soil Science, Plant Pathology, or a related fieldMinimum of 2-3 years’ experience in an agriculture related business industry or similar environment required.Strong organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities, organize time effectively, conduct research and identify resources for projects.Proficiency and knowledge in the use of software (Microsoft Office Suite) while also quickly learning systems and processes specific to Legend Seeds Sales Teams.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proof reading and editing. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrates sound judgement and discretion in handling confidential information.Eligible to work in the United States, valid driver’s license, and United States passport Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a remote office environment located within Legend Seeds footprint area. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some standing and lifting is required.
