Licensed Boiler Operator
DuPont is seeking a Licensed Boiler Operator to join our Memphis, TN team. In order to be considered for this position, you must CURRENTLY have a valid Class 1 Operating Steam Engineer License by the state of Tennessee. As a Boiler Operator, you will perform skilled work in the following areas: high-pressure steam installation, sewage sampling, wells, chemical unloading, boiler associated equipment, Deaerator (DA) Tanks, water softeners, cooling towers, gas systems, and air compressors. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Firing gas (natural or landfill) boilers Starting up pumps Regulating and adjusting fuel, air, and water Operating water softeners Operating, regulating, servicing and making repairs to various equipment Logging and recording operation and maintenance work performed and to be performed. Analyzing water for purity and chemical balance Utilities Operation and Procedures for Emergency Response Procedures, Chemical Unloading, Wells, Fuels (gas), Water Softeners, Deaerator (DA) Tank, Boilers, Cooling Towers, Air Compressors, City Sewers, NS Meters, Log Sheets/ChartsQualifications:In order to be considered for this position, you must have a valid Class 1 Operating Steam Engineer License by the state of Tennessee. Other requirements include:High school diploma or GED equivalent WorkKeys score of 29 or better Bennett Mechanical Comprehension Test (BMCT) score of 48 or better Must be knowledgeable in:Operation of high pressure boilers and related mechanical equipment Meters, gauges, and graphs and their interpretation Standard tests used in testing water and sewage Chemicals used in treating waterMust have the ability to:Make accurate readings Keep records Make reportsMust be skilled in:Operating and maintaining equipment used in water and sewage plant operations Operating and maintaining stationary boilersApply for this job.
