Livestock Production Specialist

A regional feed manufacturer is looking to add a sales consultant to their swine team! This company is growing their market share in the industry and they need someone who has proven sales experience and technical knowledge when it comes to swine feeding programs. This territory has a book of business in place, but has plenty of room to grow for an ambitious sales person! Responsibilities: * Provide sales and customer support of feed products to swine operations
* Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot technical feeding questions
* Ability to cold-call and sell to established and prospective customers (directly on farms and dealers)
* Maintain knowledge of industry by attending conferences and work shops
* Put on meetings and training seminars for current and prospective customers
Minimum Qualifications: * Passion for helping swine producers in regards to nutritional needs * Flexible travel covering multiple counties (limited overnights)
* Degree in Animal Science or related field is preferred
* Strong Communication and Computer Skills
* Ability to use software to balance rations
Compensation and Benefits: * $40,000-$55,000 Base Salary + Commission Potential
* Company provides: vehicle, phone, computer and travel expenses
