JOB DESCRIPTIONFresno Madera Farm Credit is searching for a self-motivated, highly driven individual to join our fast-paced team environment. This position reports directly to the Loan Accounting Manager and will perform critical tasks to deliver a high level of customer service to meet the needs of our member owners. In addition, this individual will be responsible for leading and directing activities for the Loan Accounting Department as directed by the Loan Accounting Manager. This includes monitoring daily workflow assignments, training accounting staff, and monitoring department productivity. The position works closely with multiple departments and requires a dependable employee committed to quality, excellent communication and a strong team culture. Responsibilities will include: Customer ServiceAccount Reconciliation, Journal Entries, ReportingTransaction ApprovalsTeam LeadershipAssist with internal and external audit processes KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Working knowledge of loan processing and accounting procedures including reconciliation of accounts.Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.Microsoft Access and Visio is a plus.Strong work ethic and commitment to take ownership of responsibilities, work independently, and seek guidance when appropriate.Ability to take the initiative, set an example for others, and lead through change.Demonstrate innovative thinking, find best practices, and take steps to implement positive change into daily responsibilities.Demonstrate the ability to perform accurately and timely within established deadlines; attention to detail is critical.Effective written and verbal communication skills to interpret and/or discuss technical or sensitive information with internal and external customers.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Exceptional problem solving, organizational and decision making skills.Ability to plan workload and prioritize business needs effectively.Outstanding customer service skills to promote and support a service-oriented culture. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field.Minimum of three years of accounting, loan processing and/or equivalent business experience.Two years of supervisory experience.Financial services or banking experience is a plus.
