CHS has an exciting opportunity in our CHS Capital group. We are looking for a Loan Officer to manage and develop account relationships with both commercial and producer loan customers to maximize opportunities to provide excellent customer service in our South Central region which includes; Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.
We prefer you to be located within the south central region and you will work out of your home office. You must have excellent communication and organization skills, the ability to work with a number of different customers, and CHS Capital staff members.You will:Support achievement of profitability and credit goals through management of account relationships.Implement marketing plans to capitalize on marketing opportunities within assigned trade territory.
Meet regularly with customers to keep abreast of information concerning their operation, strategic direction and earnings to determine business opportunities.Maintain expertise in an assigned market segment, by keeping abreast of industry trends and of the competitive environment, and interacting with industry experts.Guide the credit analysis area in development and analysis of financial background for new and renewal loans.Collects pertinent qualitative and quantitative customer information (financial reports, balance sheets, income statements, tax returns, etc.) essential to measuring risk.
Recommend decisions on loans and terms for all assigned accounts.
Recommend specific loan covenants intended to both mitigate possible issues of risk and to aid in ensuring the customer’s positive financial performance.Follow current outstanding loans to ensure complete conformity with terms and to maintain awareness of developing trends.
Proactively monitors customer’s financial performance as related to loan agreement terms.Provide financial guidance to both current and potential customers.
Call on potential or existing customers to develop new business and increase or retain existing business.Support a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field5 years of agricultural and finance experienceKnowledge of production agricultural and financeAbility to travel up to 60% of the timePreferred Qualifications: (desired)Experience making marketing presentations to both existing and potential customersExperience implementing marketing plans Production livestock experience
