Farmers Cooperative is a full service cooperative with products and services in energy, grain, feed, agronomy, and tire departments. We are an aggressive company always looking towards the future and trying to bring more opportunities, markets, and abilities to our local producers. There are 60 locations serving southeast Nebraska and northeast Kansas with our main office located in Dorchester, NE. A Day in the Life: As a Location Manager, your main responsibility is to oversee all day to day operations for roughly 1.8 million bushels of storage. You will work oversee and work directly with a staff of 3-4 employees to ensure our customers are receiving quality service and products. You will be the point of contact on questions regarding products and services at your location. This is primarily a grain location, but you will also be responsible for managing producers bag feed orders, the feed warehouse, and fuel/propane orders for producers in the area. You will be asked to maintain and improve efficiency as well as uphold maintenance on facilities. You will maintain a professional and clean image for your facilities. You will adhere and enforce all company policies and directly supervise all employees at your location. You will be expected to manage employees in a professional manner with both the company s and your employees best interests at mind. You will be expected to delegate relevant tasks with the understanding you are responsible for the location in its entirety. You may be asked to be payroll supervisor and correctly process employees time cards as well as approve or deny employee absences. You will be inside most of the time, however you still have to know how to run the equipment and know the specifics of your facilities and will need to help with daily operations time to time. You will help recruit, retain, and develop your workforce. You are responsible for the health and safety of the employees at your location. This is an extremely skilled position requiring a dedicated individual who pays close attention and takes pride in their work. The Cooperative operates under the all hands-on deck philosophy when it comes to getting things done. Therefore, employees are required to perform all other duties as directed by the supervisor.
