Position Summary:This position will primarily manage and optimize the supply chain for ADM?s diverse businesses throughout the Southwestern US.
These will include responsibilities working with both internal and external logistics providers.
This position will support multiple modes of transportation including rail, truck, vessel, trans-load stations, containers, and warehousing.
The position will also have interaction with international offices and be seeking ways to drive continuous improvement & optimization of global supply chains.
The successful candidate must be able to work closely and collaboratively with internal teams in addition to external logistics providers and customers.
This position will be supporting a wide array of products across multiple ADM business segments.Job Responsibilities: Forecasting and planningManaging rail fleet, truck & container logistics, and utilizing other modes as necessaryManaging trans load & warehouse inventoriesCoordinating and communicating rail, truck, vessel logistics, inventory positions, and forecasts Setting goals, objectives and deliverablesMonitoring and reporting asset utilization, inventory turns, and other reports as neededSearching and implementing best possible routes, rates from origin to destinationNegotiating rates and agreementsCommunicating with customers by phone, email and face to face to manage the sales cycle
Job Requirements: Minimum Requirements ? University or college degree in business or equivalent3-5 years of experience managing supply chains/logistics3 years minimum of sales and/or marketing experienceExperience in both operations and office environments3 years prior experience within an Agribusiness companyProficient in Microsoft Office suite of products with particular focus in Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Sharepoint.
Knowledge of Agris & other cotton trading platforms, while not required, are preferred. Relocation assistance is available with this position.
