Learn more at www.adm.com.Logistics Coordinator – Scottsdale, AZ or Fargo, NDGolden Peanut and Tree Nuts/ Specialty Commodities, Inc.This is a full-time, exempt position Position Summary The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the domestic logistics to support customer orders, returns, internal transfers and purchases.
This position will interface with internal sales team, customers, carriers, freight brokers, warehouses etc. This position will assist the Director of Transportation in executing in accordance with the defined transportation program to achieve high levels of service and customer satisfaction with an emphasis on continuous improvement and cost management. Job Responsibilities: Coordinate cost effective, highly reliable, truck freight movements to support sales orders, purchases, transfers and returns.Analyze and consolidate freight to maximize transportation dollars. Support Director of Transportation in seeking best service / price carriers to participate in our transportation program.Shop and negotiate with carriers within approved carrier base to achieve best price / service per load.Support sales function with quotes to support customer orders.Monitor load status; accurately update all load information in Spec Net System as well as communicate changes to stakeholders as necessary. Ensure shipments are accurately quoted and billed to ensure integrity of margins. Trouble shoot when exceptions arise, using problem solving skills to quickly resolve delivery exceptions and determine best course of corrective action.
Exceptions may include damaged product, rejected loads, equipment breakdowns, missed appointments to pick up / deliver, etc. Maintain positive relationships through effective, and timely communication. Back up colleagues in the broader logistics team including warehousing and international freight as workload or schedules demand to ensure excellent service to internal and external customers. Support department in score card measurement and performance metric reporting Job Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 1 year experience in tendering LTL, FTL and hopper bottom freight.Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.Interpersonal communication skills and strong customer service aptitude.Experience with load tendering software and EDI a plus. Understanding of incoterms and terms of purchase / sale.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and the ability to maintain composure in dynamic or challenging situations.Strong conviction to business ethics.Proven ability to independently research, analyze, organize, and prioritize work.Scottsdale AZ, would require 3 years? experience in tendering freight and if filled in Fargo, 1 year. Other Skills/Abilities Preferred Rail experience Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Relocation assistance is available with this position.
