A Logistics Operator will perform a variety of tasks including: * Receiving materials into the inventory system * Load and Unload trucks/Containers * Move materials suing forklifts and transfer trucks * Transfer materials to an approved pallet * Label materials as required * Place materials in storage locations * Pick materials for production orders * Deliver materials to production and receive materials from production * Prepare materials for shipment (API, DP, misc. parcels) * Perform transactions in the inventory tracking system, adhering to proper SOX controls * Train new operators or cross-train as required * Document activities as required * Interact with internal customers and enabling groups (ex: Quality, EHS, etc.) * Perform self-audits and inspections * Participate on teams as required (ex: Safety Team, SNAP Events, process improvement teams, etc.) * Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, internal/external regulations, safety guidelines and GMPs Additional Duties and Responsibilities: * Functional/Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate basic Warehousing knowledge. * Problem Solving and Innovative: Develop solutions to routine problems following established Zoetis policies and procedures. Involvement in team efforts to solve more complex or cross-functional problems. * Discretion, Latitude, Level of Independence: Follows directions with limited supervision of work. Understands what needs to be done and will complete work without direction. * Impact and Organization Contribution: Contributes to the completion of routine tasks. Leverages operational knowledge to provide input to process improvements and facility changes. * Teamwork/Influence: Contacts include immediate work group, internal customers and enabling groups. Education and Experience: * Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) * Certificates, Licenses or Registrations: Ability to obtain the following certifications as applicable: Fork-Lift certification, Hazmat certification, DOT certification, Valid Driver”s License * Language Skills: Effective written and oral communication skills * Computer Skills: Microsoft Applications and experience with MRP or related systems * Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50lbs, Repetition of activities, Stair climbing and extended standing and/or walking, Frequent time around equipment with moving parts, Ability to use warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.Work Environment: Colleague is exposed to airborne particles, and cephalosporin. Must work near moving mechanical parts. Eye protection and other personal protective equipment are required. Colleague can be exposed to extreme cold and hot temperatures, inside and outside of the buildings. Outside activities are required.Apply for this job.
