The role of Logistics Planner is a rewarding position with a wide range of duties in a fast pace environment.
A Logistics Planner is expected to be able to communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and other departments.
The core responsibility of this position is to monitor customer orders, ensure orders are available for pickup on the ship date, and maintain accurate records for Accounting and QA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Check drivers in and out.Manages all dock door assignments.Schedule appointment times for all inbound and outbound shipments.
Assign and manage all bin assignments for inbound bulk bean shipments.Communicates customer order information with Harvest Innovations warehouse staff.
Prepare commercial invoice, certificate of origin, packing list, bill of lading, NAFTA certificate for international shipments.Ensure all shipping documents are forwarded onto Accounting for invoicing in a timely manner.
Send shipping instructions to public warehouses and co-packers.Ensures certificate of analysis and QA results are sent to customers.Maintain record keeping of all material entering and exiting Harvest Innovations.Ensure all required QA documents on inbound raw materials have been received and recorded in the ERP system.Manage and maintain all radio frequency scanners.
Answer telephones and transfer to appropriate staff member/take messages or fields/answers all routine and non-routine questions.Meet and greet clients and visitors.Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.Sign for and distribute UPS/Fed Ex/Airborne packages.Research, price, and purchase office furniture and supplies.Coordinate and maintain records for staff office space, phones, parking, company credit cards, and office keys.Support staff in assigned project based work. Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary.Scaling of all trucks.Additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelor degree preferred.3-5 years related work experience.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to work in team environment and solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Technical Skills: Computer proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.Knowledge and prior use of ERP systems. Other Skills: Possess strong communication skills.Detail oriented.Pleasant disposition.
Physical Demand: Ability to lift, push, pull 30+ lbs.
Will also require standing, walking, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling.
