Come join us on our journey to create solutions for a sustainable futureWhere the Chemistry Happens?1901168 — Logistics Services Coordinator — Savannah, GAThe Logistics Services position is responsible for purchasing of packaging materials, shipping supplies and equipment needed for the operation of logistics at the Savannah site. Responsible for Goods Issuing in SAP, for outbound shipments, warehouse inventory, processing all invoices for railroad, trucking and warehousing. Arranging trucks/ containers for shipments and transportation to customers both domestic and export.Work EnvironmentThe Logistics Services job maintains all shipments to and from the plant, warehouse, and to thecustomer. Shipments must be Good's Issued with COA delivered on time. It requires prioritizing and planning to make sure that all requirements for bagging or loading product is available and on site for the job needed. This requires vision and ability to place Purchase Orders for productsneeded. Other duties are to maintain Waste Records to be submitted (NPDES) Reports. Paying waste bills, equipment rental bills, rail road, transportation bills and compiling documentation for weekly and month end closing. Business EnvironmentOperate within budget, and implement cost savings measures, and stays current on systems, technology and economic issues that deal directly with the business. Internal and External RelationshipsHave frequent contact with suppliers, vendors and various responsible persons at other BASF locations. Close coordination with the warehouse and business personnel. Close relationships are necessary to ensure effective communications.
