LP Service Technician
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To perform service and installation of mechanical equipment. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 1.
Install and instruct users of all mechanical equipment sold. 2.
Render prompt service on mechanical equipment including after hours service calls. 3. Maintain a complete file on parts manuals, service manuals and service bulletins on all mechanical equipment sold. 4.
Maintain adequate parts inventory. 5.
Makes minor repairs and maintains service truck and maintenance record. 6.
Handle maintenance on other service agency equipment. 7.
See that all in-warranty parts are returned to supplier along with proper information in order for location to receive proper credit. 8.
Prepare Job Order Form on all service work done. 9.
Maintain a file on each item of mechanical equipment sold, including follow-up report, guarantee and warranty cards, and records of service. 10. Attend meetings and schools as required.. 11. Adheres to Southern States Corporate Policies and Procedures.. 12. Perform all other duties as may be assigned by supervisor *
High school graduate.
Valid drivers license.
Must exhibit mechanical aptitude.
Class B CDL required *
May require propane certification.
Requires physical strength and dexterity to walk, stand, bend, climb, reach, stoop, twist and lift/carry 100 pounds.
Vision, hearing and speech essential.
Hand coordination to use computer. May require a valid drivers license. Job requires contact with hazardous materials and drive/travel and work in adverse weather conditions.
