Plant Information:Located in Billings, Montana, the plant produces approximately 5 million gallons of liquid herbicide annually. The plant employs 35 people with roles in operations, maintenance, environmental compliance, QC laboratory, warehouse, rail/truck loading, office staff and site leadership. Summary:As a member of the Maintenance Team, the Maintenance Mechanic monitors, troubleshoots and repairs plant process equipment and building equipment to support continuous improvement in plant reliability. The Maintenance Mechanic is also actively engaged in the plant safety program, environmental stewardship program, and waste minimization efforts. What you will do: Participate in the plant safety programs such as Near Miss Reporting, Work Hazard Assessment Tool, and Commitment to ZeroSupport the facility’s obligations to environmental stewardship and waste minimizationExecute plant maintenance with an appropriate sense of urgency to maximize productionUtilize the EAM CMMS to document maintenance work order historyComplete maintenance on plumbing and HVAC systemsPerform training on new and current equipment use for operatorsEngage in plants day to day activities finding ways to help increase efficiencies in both packaging and formulation unitsAccomplish laser alignment on new and current rotating equipmentConduct maintenance on new and current equipment utilizing equipment manuals and resources availableCarry out building maintenance and attend classes to expand the facilities capacity to optimize facilities overall reliabilityOperating forklift, man lift, scissor lift, telehandler, skid steer & tractorsAll duties as assignedWhat you will bring: Skills:High school diploma/GED required, vocational training in a technical trade considered a plusA valid driver license and dependable transportationAt least two years of plant maintenance experienceAble to work in a fast -paced team environmentQualifications:Plumbing and pipefitting with maintenance and troubleshootingAble to read and understand process flow diagrams (PFD) and piping and instrument drawings (P&ID)Experience Nondestructive testing such as dye penetrant, magnetic particle and ultrasonic thickness testingVibration analysis of rotating equipmentPump & pump seal repairElectrical and/or instrumentation troubleshooting and repairAutomotive and Forklift repairUse of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to enter work order hours, PM findings etc.Experience with laser alignment of rotating equipment including pumps, fans, and compressors.Experience conducting predictive/preventive maintenance work (PM’s) on chemical process equipment, rotating equipment, and machineryExperience troubleshooting and repairing packaging line equipmentExperience installing, troubleshooting and rebuilding centrifugal and positive displacement pumpsExperience operating forklift, picker, telehandler, skid steerBasic building structural repair and maintenanceAble to read construction/fabrication blueprints and other drawingsAre you a good match?
