Working at Nutrien will provide you an opportunity to help us Feed the Future, and grow your career.Reporting to the Maintenance Trades Supervisor, the Maintenance Mechanic will perform daily, routine and non-routine maintenance on equipment within the Borger Nitrogen facility.What you will do: Ensuring safe and efficient work practicesFollowing and adhering to all safety policies and proceduresPerforming daily maintenance and overhauls on all rotating equipmentPerforming daily and routine preventative maintenance (PMs) on rotating equipmentPerforming millwright work including major overhauls of rotating equipmentDocumenting repairs and reliability information on equipmentFollowing written procedures and completing detailed checklistWorking closely with contractors, vendors, and internal departments to develop PM standards on equipmentAttending and completing required training internally and externally specific to job skillsPlay a critical role not only ensuring your own safety, but also the safety of othersDirect accountability for ensuring familiarity and demonstrating the Commitment to Zero policy, leading with a safety mindset and moedling the 3 Safety Principles, modeling the Tenets of Operations and having your own personal safety action planWhat you will bring: Minimum of 5-10 years on-the-job experience as a millwright mechanicRigging certification- familiar with Rigging equipment.Specific working knowledge of all types of pumps, compressors, gearboxes, turbines, etc.Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to excel in a team environmentProficient in pump alignment and the use of alignment toolsCapable of reading a micrometer graduated in .0001 of an inchVibrations background and understanding of vibration analysisUnderstand impeller, sleeve and bearing clearances and tolerancesKnowledge of different types of bearing failure and how to-correct themKnowledge of basic rules needed to understand centrifugal pumpsProficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and SAP Are you a good match?
