The maintenance planner performs a critical role in providing technical assistance to the maintenance organization, in analyzing planned and completed work orders, and soliciting input from key staff to facilitate improvements in current and future job plansThe planner is also accountable for creating appropriate equipment files, and for ensuring timely updates with relevant maintenance and repair histories to aid in future job plan developmentThe planner incorporates continuous improvement feedback into the planning strategy utilizing experiences in planning techniques and the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)By providing clear proactive work order planning, the planner helps to create a safe environment focused on efficient maintenance while keeping costs in control and equipment operating at their required performance levels Job Responsibilities:
Define procedures & tasks for carrying out maintenance work according to priorities, with the required resources, skills coordination and supervisionPrepares time and cost estimates for work orders and jobs to optimize resources allocationSchedules work with Production Planning to ensure the highest value and/or most critical work is scheduled first (PM, PdM, etc.)Participate and contribute as appropriate in the daily & weekly maintenance meetings.Review incomplete work to ensure it is rescheduled according to the Work Order prioritiesMaintains and updates information and data via the work order process in the CMMS (iMaint). Use the CMMS system (iMaint) and other computer applications to support effective and efficient scheduling and reporting functionsManage parts inventory levels and storage needs for sparesSustains vendor managed inventories, including current & potential suppliersResponsible for review of vendor bids for parts, supplies & materialsConducts routine inventory cycle countsResponsible for stockroom organization for efficient and effective workflowInitiates purchase requisitions, receives spare parts, and reviews invoices for accuracyConfirm & stage required parts, equipment, tools, for scheduled work and meets the required quantity & qualityManages & coordinate current calibration records on critical instrumentation Job Requirements:
Technical degree and industrial maintenance experience preferredMinimum five (5) years manufacturing and/or maintenance experienceSuccessful history of development of preventative maintenance plans Ability to interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, spreadsheets and other analytical reportsFamiliar with electrical and mechanical componentsDemonstrated ability and history of equipment reliability improvementEfficient & effective data entry skills a mustStrong computer literacy with Microsoft office & CMMS programsInterpersonal and management skillsMust maintain a valid driver?s licenseApply for this job.
