Erlanger, KYADM OperationsThis is a full time, exempt position The Maintenance Supervisor will assist with all maintenance activities to ensure maximum operational potential is realized for the entire plant operation. This includes all functions of the Maintenance Department including preventive/predictive and corrective maintenance programs, reliability improvements, departmental budgets, computerized maintenance management systems, and maintenance materials inventory (MRO). Also, Technical Skills Management of electrical, electronics, controls programming, mechanical systems (process equipment), stockroom, building and grounds and utility systems (including but not limited to waste water treatment, boilers, chillers and odor scrubbers). Assistance with the development, coordination and execution of maintenance related capital budget items in concert with engineering. Drive safety culture within the department by assisting with safety training, facilitating routine safety discussions, and providing technical support for all safety projectsAssist with the supervision of Maintenance staff including but not limited to performance management and employee development, etc.Support good employee relations by facilitating continuous communication of all information affecting them Continuous and close coordination with the Maintenance Manager, other Team Members, and Human ResourcesAssist in maintaining departmental operating budget by effectively utilizing the workforce and equipmentEnsure that equipment and facility are maintained in a safe, operable condition and/or arrange for replacement/upgradesDirect maintenance personnel to ensure that all systems operate at their highest capability to meet required production schedules, quality, costs and schedule prioritiesDirect workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and utility system maintenance and repair of machinery and equipmentCommunicate/coordinate with outside agencies i.e. contractors, equipment suppliers, technical consultants and vendorsEstablish procedures and contacts to ensure timely repairs of equipmentCoordinate, arrange, and supervise to ensure the completion of corrective and preventive maintenance in accordance with company operating procedures, practices and financial considerationsProvide maintenance training to include the effective troubleshooting, communication, work order processing and completion of routine maintenance.Estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment, study and understand production schedules to coordinate minimization of downtimeDetermine equipment capabilities, safety and operational condition in coordination with technicians and other personnelUpdate or develop preventative maintenance procedures that are cost effective and increase the operational life of the equipmentAssist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipmentAssist with preparing part requisitions and determining the optimal number of spare parts to be kept in inventory Evaluate long-term needs in relation to major projects and production or facility improvementsImprove reliability, maintenance and processing methods to reduce cost and avoid loss of production as a result of equipment malfunction or failure downtimeAssist in analyzing production downtime reports, determining opportunities, and initiating action plans to increase efficienciesSeek and implement the continuous improvement of the process through equipment improvement modificationsRequirements Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering or related Technical field is strongly preferredMinimum of 1-5 years of related leadership experience in a Manufacturing environment is requiredMust have the knowledge of good manufacturing practices. Be safety and quality minded and have the ability to make sound decisionsUnderstanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility systems is a plusUnderstanding of direct and overhead cost systemsExperience using, trouble-shooting and programming Allen Bradley PLCs is a plusMust be able to work flexible scheduleRelocation assistance is available with this position.
