Learn more at www.adm.com.Maintenance Supervisor-Reserve, LAThis is an exempt level positionPosition Summary:The Maintenance Supervisor will take responsibility for all maintenance (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation) activities on the plant site, provide technical support for the maintenance team, and develop and implement continuous improvement opportunities for equipment and practices.
The Maintenance Supervisor will also work closely with other departments to provide good customer service.
The focus of this position is to maximize production time available on equipment, minimize upkeep costs, and control expenditures related to equipment, spare parts, and consumable items.
This position will train and supervise maintenance staff and key personnel to insure the facility has a safe and reliable maintenance program at the lowest cost.
Must be able to establish expectations for safety, reliability, quality, service and productivity.
Job Responsibilities: Plan, schedule and control manpower requirements for maintenance employeesEmpower, counsel and train foremen to build efficient management organizationTrain new hourly employees Direct the preventative maintenance and repair program for all equipmentDirect crews and delegate tasksEnsure proper parts are on handUnderstand and communicate ADM?s safety cultureLook for new solutions and new technology to fix issues Look for long term maintenance solutionsRetention of maintenance related documentsOversee maintenance employees and ensure work is being done in a proper and safe mannerUnderstand and communicate the importance of doing maintenance correctly the first timeEnsure you use time management to be sure everything is getting done.Ensure a safe work environment, for all employees, by promoting/enforcing all of the plant rules, procedures, and practices.Attend or give a safety meeting everyday for contractors and ADM employees.Involvement in implementation of new safety programs.Participate in monthly safety meetingsJob Requirements: Bachelor?s Degree preferredMinimum 5 years? experience in the Maintenance fieldKnowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation processAble to meet the physical requirements of the position including but not limited to: lifting up to 25lbs, sit/stand/walk for extended periods of time, squatting/kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, operate power tools, overhead work and work in a variety of environmental conditions
