Position Summary:The Maintenance Technician position will assist the Maintenance Superintendent with maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and replacement of plant equipment and systems to ensure maximum plant equipment availability. The Technician Level 2 position will have experience in mechanics, piping, welding and hydraulics. All maintenance department employees will assist in the development and implementation of plant safety programs and policies.
Carry out department and company safety policies and procedures at all timesPerform safe troubleshooting, installation, routine maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment (pumps, motors, fans, gearboxes, etc.)Responsible for awareness and implementation of all local, state and federal regulations as they applyResponsible for repair of mechanical piping within the plantDemonstrate basic welding principlesDemonstrate basic machine repair and rebuildingResponsible for reading and understanding mechanical and piping printsHave a basic understanding of electrical to assist in equipment troubleshooting and lockoutMaintain facilities in clean, organized and efficient operating mannerParticipate in plant projects when neededAssist process operators when necessaryAssist Maintenance Superintendent with control of parts inventoryBasic computer skillsBe able to work in and promote a positive team working environmentBe able to work at heights greater than 150? and in harsh outdoor environmentsBe able to lift and carry items that are 50lbsHave ability to perform job duties outside of normal working hours when askedMust be able to climb and balance oneself on a ladder, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl into tight places as requiredJob Requirements:
Must pass a maintenance test and have a minimum of 3 years experience in industrial environmentAssociates degree in mechanically related field and maintenance operations experience in industrial and continuous process flow maintenance can be substituted for employment time with ADM
