Maintenance Technician ($1,000 sign-on bonus)

As the Maintenance Technician, you will regularly perform mechanical maintenance of field and plant equipment and facilities. In addition, this role includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus! Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:May assist with some electrical maintenance workProvides back-up on other plant and field activities as needed. Ensures both quality standards and timelines are metMust maintain focus and attention to details to ensure accuracy yet always work toward maximizing productivity without negatively impacting accuracyMust minimize or eliminate contamination and support trace ability objectivesMaintain compliance with Quality Plan standards, ISO instructions, safety programs and policies, company/department/location policies and legal requirementsHelps organize and plan ahead, including conducting seasonal prep work to get enough labor, prepare equipment, schedule materials, etc.Assures proper set-up, calibration, operation, and maintenance of equipment, machines, and facilitiesQualifications:The following are required:One to three (1-3) years of mechanical maintenance workHigh school diploma or GEDCommitted to maintaining high safety and work standardsKnowledge of engine and hydraulic repair and test equipmentWilling and able to work in a variety of areas (field, plant, warehouse)Willing and able to climb and/or work in elevated areas; standing and sitting for extended periodsWilling and able to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet and dry conditionsWilling and able to lift up to 60 lbs. and complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive liftingPosition has potential exposure to hazards such as electric shock or moving partsWillingness and ability to work overtime hours including weekend work required during seasonal peaksShift work requiredMay require occasional travelDriver???s license The following are preferred:Knowledge of production agriculture and associated machinery neededBasic level of building electrical systems knowledgeKnowledge of heating/cooling, refrigeration, security, materials handling equipment (i.e., conveyors, elevator legs, packaging equipment, etc.) or other mechanical/electrical systemsAbility to read and interpret parts and shop manualsTechnical problem solving skills; skill in troubleshooting mechanical problems in a systematic manner and able to quickly determine maintenance or repair neededGood verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAble to adjust quickly to changing conditions and multiple prioritiesOrganized with continuous improvement orientationTraining/coaching skillsDetail orientedKnowledge of telephone systemsGood PC skillsMillwright skills Truck and forklift driving skills Experience with preventative maintenanceKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Continuous Improvement and Standardized Work are a plus.Apply for this job.
