Position Summary:The incumbent is responsible for performing routine maintenance work on the equipment, buildings and grounds of the rice mill. Activities associated with this job will be performed in compliance with the facilitys safety, production, quality, sanitation, efficiency and productivity standards. Core Functions: Trouble shoot and repair equipment located in all departments of the rice mill Accurately and safely perform routine electrical work on A/C drives, starters, controls and other related activities Correctly and safely perform welding assignments Accurately and safely diagnose and solve routine mechanical problems involving equipment or vehicles in the plant Competently use available computer systems (for example, but not limited to, SAP, Excel, Outlook, Word) required to completed assigned maintenance tasks. Prepare as required, and be able to read and interpret electrical drawings, sketches and layouts Maintain a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment such as, but not limited to, motors, lighting circuits, starters, generators, transformers, or any other electrical apparatus routinely found in the rice mill Do routine work related to the installation and/or changing of electrical drives Maintain a clean and orderly shop and/or work area and remove material and equipment from job site as directed Check filter timers and replace timers as needed Install wiring to and between electric and electronic equipment and maintain same as directed Assist other maintenance department employees as directed Unload, load, transport maintenance-related equipment or materials Dig trenches for underground tile, pipe or conduit Mix, haul and install concrete for maintenance work, including but not limited to installation of reinforcing rods Perform painting duties as assigned Perform other miscellaneous maintenance jobs as assignedSkills/Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalency At least one year of experience as a mechanical maintenance technician in a recognized maintenance department Demonstrated ability to understand and perform required mechanical, electrical and welding skills reasonably required for successful performance of day-to-day activities related to the job Demonstrated ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints and schematics Demonstrated ability to speak and read English to the degree necessary to safely and effectively perform the essential functions of the job Demonstrated ability to understand and follow company policies, work rules and procedures Demonstrated ability to understand and follow directions Strong work ethic with excellent interpersonal skills Schedule: Full-time position, typically 40 hours a week, but on occasion additional hours may be required Variable shift assignments as needed to fulfill the facilitys production requirementsBunge is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
