This would include preventative maintenance, diagnosing problems, ordering parts and making repairs. Position ResponsibilitiesPerform assigned work in area of responsibility; which could include one or more of the following trades: electrical, mechanical, plumbing, utilities and metal fabrication. Perform minor preventative maintenance and repairs on facility and equipment. Complete emergency call-in repairs as required. Perform snow removal during on and off duty hours. Understand and utilize Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) when completing assigned work and paperwork such as work orders, SOPs, and equipment log books. Learn and comply with regulatory requirements such as APHIS, VMD & OSHA. Incumbent may be required to perform Hazardous Waste Pickup and understand and comply with hazardous waste training. Incumbent may be required to perform HAZWOPER clean up. Actively develop skills by completing training and job progression steps. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED required. Two years technical training/experience preferred. Technical Skills and CompetenciesPrevious experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting highly preferred. Industrial experience preferred, but not required. Physical Position RequirementsExperience in the use of hand and power tools.Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.May be exposed to temperature variations, prolonged standing or walking.Must work in an industrial environment safely using approved procedures; i.e., Lockout/tagout, confined space, line break, right to know, PPE, etc.Valid drivers” license may be required.Immunizations required.Apply for this job.
