Manager Communications – Poultry PR

This communications manager will be responsible for public relations for our Poultry business unit.Responsibilities:Develop proactive PR campaigns and plans aligned to business and marketing priorities and product launches for the Poultry business group.Story mining within Poultry for innovation story angles around technology, products and supply chain. Ongoing engagement with poultry trade associations for PR opportunities.Collaborate with Corporate Public Relations on issues management, crisis communications and community affairs matters, as well as media relations as it relates to our Poultry business.In partnership with executive communications, support speaking engagements with media and social strategy to amplify messages, elevate executive and the brand.Measure the success and effectiveness of communications programs and provide regular updates to leadership.Maintain stakeholder relationships to identify communications needs and opportunities. Provide strategic counsel to the business, marketing. Provide regular communications counsel to senior leadership.Participate in developing and evolving the broader story of Tyson Foods, reflecting proof points from the Fresh Meats business unit and its leader's points of view.The person in this position collaborates with a wide variety of teams within the company, including executive communications, corporate PR, internal communications and social media, as well as operations, sales, consumer relations, food and worker safety, investor relations and legal.REQUIREMENTS:Education Requires BA in communications, public relations, journalism or related field.Experience 8+ years of communications, media or public relations experience.Computer Skills Requires basic computer skills.
