Manager Executive Communications – Poultry

To help us achieve our broader business objectives and to elevate and protect the Tyson Foods brand, we are seeking candidates to help to build a world-class Communications and Brand function. This executive communications manager will primarily be a strategic communications partner for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) member who leads our Poultry business unit, focusing on thought leadership platforms, external speaking engagements and internal strategic and change management communications. For media relations opportunities in these areas,this person will work closely with the Corporate PR team. He / she will also work with all divisions of the Poultry business unit to manage and foster good working relationships with the company's 4,000 contract poultry farmers.Responsibilities: Provide regular communications counsel to senior leadership. Develop the holistic communications strategy and plan for communicating business priorities, strategy and initiatives to team members in the Poultry business unit. Implement internal communications plans, translating business strategy, initiatives and progress into clear messages for functional team members; developing communication materials, including talking points, presentations, written strategy updates,change management materials and select Intranet content; and producing internal events and forums, such as quarterly town hall meetings and team member round tables. Evaluate and execute external communication activities for the leader of the Poultry business unit in partnership with colleagues in Public Relations. For approximately 2-4 external speaking engagements per year, responsibilities include producing fresh, innovative content for influencer-facing presentations, as well as developing blog and social content. Drive proactive and consistent engagement with poultry farmers through various existing and new channels, including but not limited to a website, smartphone app, social media, newsletter communications, awards programs, events / meetings and communications training. Measure the success and effectiveness of communications programs and provide regular updates to leadership. Maintain stakeholder relationships to identify communications needs and opportunities in the business unit. Participate in developing and evolving the broader story of Tyson Foods, reflecting proof points from the Poultry business unit and its leader's point of view.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field.8+ years' experience in Marketing / Communications; change management communication experience a plus.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Experience developing compelling presentation materials, including proficiency in PowerPoint.Proven strategic communications counselor.Project and program management skills.Problem-solving skills.Experience working with senior leaders.Desire to collaborate as part of a large, matrixed organization.Location: Based in Tyson Foods' World Headquarters in Springdale, AR#LI-PA1To view a full job description and submit your resume for consideration, click APPLY TO THIS POSITION below and follow the prompts.Apply for this job.
