This executive communications manager will primarily be a strategic communications partner for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members who lead Finance, HR and Law, focusing on thought leadership platforms, external speaking engagements and internal strategic and change management communications. For media relations opportunities in these areas, this person will work closely with the Corporate PR team.Responsibilities: Provide regular communications counsel to senior leadership. Develop the holistic communications strategy and plan for communicating business priorities, strategy and initiatives to team members in the Finance, HR and Law departments. Implement internal communications plans, translating business strategy, initiatives and progress into clear messages for functional team members; developing communication materials, including talking points, presentations, written strategy updates, change management materials and select Intranet content; and producing internal events and forums, such as quarterly town hall meetings and team member round tables. Evaluate and execute external communication activities for the ELT of Finance, HR and Law in partnership with colleagues in Public Relations. For approximately 2-4 external speaking engagements per year per executive, responsibilities include producing fresh, innovative content for influencer-facing presentations, as well as developing blog and social content. Measure the success and effectiveness of communications programs and provide regular updates to leadership. Maintain stakeholder relationships to identify communications needs and opportunities. Participate in developing and evolving the broader story of Tyson Foods, reflecting proof points from the Finance, HR and Law departments and their leaders' points of view.
