Our Soda Springs, Idaho plant, a leading producer of elemental phosphorus, is seeking a highly-motivated individual for a Front Line Supervisor in the manufacturing department. The front line supervisor position is responsible for leading a team of technicians in daily operations within their manufacturing area to drive results in safety, product quality, and optimization and is expected to get results through development of their team, influencing and personal proficiency. Responsibilities: Lead crew in the implementation of and compliance with environmental, safety, and health requirements. Development of people and team by coaching, teaching, creation of development plans and opportunities, reviews, discipline, and documentation of employee performance. Enhance communications within the crew and throughout the manufacturing area as to promote idea generation and motivation. Accountable for maintaining high standards of operational excellence within crew responsibilities. Achieve business targets and improvements in the areas of safety, quality, efficiency, and costs. Provide coordination of operations and maintenance activities to ensure optimal unit operations. Promote and lead implementation of management, organization, and technical changes in the manufacturing area. Act as a troubleshooting resource.Qualifications:Required Skills/ExperienceHigh School Diploma/GED Minimum of 3 years previous experience working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environmentDemonstrated ability to lead and coach people and teamsResults oriented leadership approachCapability to clearly present information and influence others through oral or written communicationsAbility to make decisions and solve problems while exhibiting situational judgment Desired Skills/ExperiencePrior leadership in a heavy industrial manufacturing plantComputer proficiencyKnowledge of process improvement principles such as Lean, Six Sigma Monsanto is an equal opportunity employer.
