Savannah, GA Where the Chemistry Happens We are seeking a professional like you to manage key site medical data/records; site-wide programs/processes/events, and new employee onboarding. In addition, you will support continuous education with the training team, assist the Site Manager, perform general administrative duties at the site that will enhance the employee experience at BASF, as well as maintain overall compliance. From enriching the diversity of the site by involvement with the Employee Resource Groups to affecting the way we select, train and communicate to our site team, you will take a leadership role in many aspects of the site culture development in Savannah. This role is one where you will interact with all levels within the organization and work under pressure in a professional environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your strong mindset for operational excellence of process site standardization, cost savings, etc. and exhibit cost-conscious behavior in the utilization of company resources.Formula for Success Leveraging your education and administrative experience in a manufacturing environment, you will provide direct support and engagement to/with the Site Manager and with the site leadership/extended leadership team as needed.Your demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information will be a valued asset as you provide local HR support and serve as Site Medical Contact by managing key site documents and memos (such as HR procedures, org charts, personal announcements, work restrictions and clearances, and scheduling of physicals), ensure that crisis communication support is provided for the Savannah site, and act as the point-of-contact for distribution of corporate materials, such as Open Enrollment posters and compliance posters.Utilizing your proactive self-starting nature and exceptional interpersonal, organizational and planning skills, you will liaise and coordinate with the Savannah Site Employee Resource Groups by leveraging the membership of the groups to achieve business objectives, support the efforts of attracting, developing and retaining the best talent available, and support the effort and engagement to make BASF Savannah a great place to work.Your flexibility to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment will be essential as you will support, maintain, and optimize the Savannah site?s onboarding process/program for new hires, to include building appropriate material for process efficiency, work with hiring managers to manage organizational Management of Change and change forms, overall onboarding checklist, as well as other topics (I-9 verification, Co-Ops, Interns, Professional Development Program, Transitions at Work, etc.)Your strong verbal and written communication skills will be critical as you support the Site Manager and site on Workforce Development activities, inclusive of being the key liaison with corporate communications, HR/Talent Acquisition and contracting agencies.Demonstrating your organizational skills and proficiency in MS programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), you will provide overall administrative support to the Site Manager and other departments as necessary (ordering supplies, maintaining office machines, organizing meetings and making travel arrangements, composing letters and memoranda, report preparation, mail distribution, etc.) Successfully engaging across the organization, you will manage and participate in various employee, charitable and community engagements and related events (benefits fairs, career/job fair participation, Savannah site and area events, BASF programs/engagements, etc.) for the site.Your ability to work independently with minimal supervision will be vital as you support the development and engagement of continuous education and follow up for employees over the onboarding lifecycle, working directly with Training Coordinators, Leadership Team and other staff as necessary.Create Your Own Chemistry: What We Offer YouAdding value to our customers begins with adding value to you.
