Manufacturing Technician ($2,500 Sign-On Bonus)

In this role, you will perform avariety of tasks associated with general plant and warehouse operations thatwill evolve with each season throughout the year. You will be responsible forsetting up and monitoring highly automated equipment for various processes suchas harvest, conditioning, treating, and packing. At this site, during our peakpackaging portion of the year, we run operations on a days shift schedule withoff-shift hours and sometimes a second shift, also. Overtime and weekend workis required when needed. Other responsibilities include, butare not limited to: Harvest activities such as preparation, sorting, drying, etc. Conditioning activities such as sizing, gravity operation, bagging,palletizing, etc. Return and rework activities Warehousing activities including forklift operation, collecting samples,pooling, etc. Gathering data for future aid in continuous improvement projects Various other duties as assigned by supervisor The Rushville facility runs a 24/6or 16/5 schedule during peak periods. Shift schedules for this role will varyand depend on demand. Required on-call work to ensure processes are runningwill apply to this role also.QualificationsThe following are required:High School diploma or equivalentMust possess a valid driver's licenseWilling and able to work in a variety of areas (plant, warehouse)Willing and able to climb and/or work in elevated areas; standingand sitting for extended periodsWilling and able to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold,wet and dry conditionsWilling and able to complete work that involves repetitive motionand/or repetitive liftingWillingness and ability to work overtime hours including weekendwork required during seasonal peaksWillingness and ability to work day and swing shifts on ourrotation scheduleAbility to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodationSafety experience and backgroundComputer skill setsWilling and able to operate forklifts The following are preferred:Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, ContinuousImprovement and Standardized Work are a plusTwo years of on-the-job related agricultural, manufacturing,operations, warehousing, or production experienceExperience completing maintenance PM'sKnowledge of production plant operations desiredKnowledge of field equipment desiredGood verbal and interpersonal communication skillsTeamwork skillsApply for this job.
